AGREEMENT NO. 2020-48B
SECOND AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
This Amendment to Agreement No. 2020-48B (Amendment) is entered into between the City of Camarillo, a California general law city and municipal corporation (City), and Charles Abbott Associates, Inc., collectively referred to as the Parties. The effective date of this Amendment is February 14, 2024.
RECITALS
A. On May 13, 2020, the City Council approved Professional Services Agreement No. 2020-48 with Charles Abbott Associates, Inc. for Building and Safety Services for a three-year period with the option of two, one-year extensions to be approved by the City Council effective July 1, 2020 (Agreement).
B. On May 24, 2023, the City Council approved Professional Services Agreement No. 2020-48A with Charles Abbott Associates, Inc. for Building and Safety Services with an extension of an additional one-year period from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.
C. Pursuant to Section 2 and Exhibit A – Scope of Services, and Exhibit B – Key Personnel of the original Agreement, the parties wish to amend the scope of services to include preparation and indexing of Residential and Commercial Building Plans to assist with the current digitization project to ensure electronic retention of plans. This includes the addition of one full- time and one part-time Scanning Preparation Specialists for the duration of the project. The parties also wish for the Scope of Services to include the workflow build out of the associated Building and Safety Division permits in the OpenGov software.
D. All capitalized terms not defined in this Amendment have the meaning set forth in the Agreement.
Section 1. Amendment. The Agreement is amended to add the following:
a. Section 2 and Exhibit A are amended to add additional scope of services including the preparation and indexing of Residential and Commercial Building Plans and developing and building workflows for the Building and Safety permits in OpenGov . b. Exhibit B is amended to include a Full-time and Part-time Scanning Specialist, and an additional Building Official in the Key Personnel.
Section 2. Compensation and Payment. This Amendment is for a not-to-exceed amount of $75,240 for the preparation and indexing of Residential and Commercial Building Plans and $29,000 for the workflow buildout of the OpenGov permits billed at the attached hourly rate of the position preforming the work (Exhibit A). A $10,424 (10%) contingency is also included for a total agreement amendment amount of $114,664.
Section 3. Continuation of Terms of Agreement. Except as expressly modified by the terms and provisions of this document, the remaining terms and provisions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect.
THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES of the Parties have caused this Amendment, Agreement No. 2020-48B, to be executed as of the Effective Date.
