BACKGROUND
The City of Camarillo is pleased to launch the Las Personas Community Academy as part of the City’s Community Engagement Strategy. This interactive program has been designed to educate community members on the roles and responsibilities of the City of Camarillo and to encourage ongoing engagement by sharing and promoting opportunities for public participation. More information is available on the City’s website at cityofcamarillo.org/communityacademy.
DISCUSSION
Staff will provide an overview of the Las Personas Community Academy to the City Council.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $5,000 to implement the Community Academy are included in the Community Special Events Budget, Account No. 101-1410-414.69-22 for Fiscal Year 2023-24.
RECOMMENDATION
Receive and file the presentation on the Las Personas Community Academy.
