Camarillo City Council
AGENDA REPORT
Date: March 27, 2024
To: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers
From: Greg Ramirez, City Manager
Submitted by: John Thomas, Assistant Administrative Services Director Subject: Award Agreement 2024-13 to Unisource Solutions for Workstation Reconfigurations for the Administrative Services and Finance Departments
BACKGROUND
Two existing workspaces in the Administrative Services and Finance departments’ work areas require reconfiguration to maximize existing space and allow ample space for staff.
Two workstations will be reconfigured concurrently.
DISCUSSION
This workstation reconfiguration will utilize OMNIA Partners Cooperative Contract 20200000606 for HAWORTH furniture purchase, installation and related products and services, as allowed for in the City’s purchasing policy.
Staff worked with Unisource, an authorized HAWORTH dealership, to create a layout that will maximize the spaces while providing adequate size workstations for both departments. Staff solicited quotes from other vendors, however the vendors do not provide installation services in the area.
Work includes tear down and removal of the two existing workstations and the purchase and installation of new components.
Staff requests approval of Unisource’s Quote 26146.001 in the amount of $38,449, and a 15% ($5,767) contingency for unforeseen work/material, for a total expenditure of $44,216.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds for the workstations are included in the General Fund, City Hall Facilities Office Furniture & Equipment Account No. 101-5750-419.36-01 and General Fund, City Hall Facilities Capital Purchases Account No. 101-5750-419-91-21.

CEQA DETERMINATIONS
City staff has determined, in accordance with Section 15061(b)(3) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, that reconfiguring workstations is not subject to CEQA review because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the reconfiguring workstations has a significant effect on the environment.
RECOMMENDATION
1. Find the purchase of workstations exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines; and
2. Authorize City Manager to execute agreement 2024-13 with Unisource in the amount of $38,449; and authorize a contingency up to $5,767 for a not to exceed total of $44,216; and
3. Authorize City Manager to execute future change orders or documents as necessary up to the authorized contingency amount.
