Camarillo City Council

AGENDA REPORT
Date: April 10, 2024
To: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers
From: Greg Ramirez, City Manager
Submitted by: Dave Klotzle, Public Works Director
Subject: Camarillo Video Detection Project (TM-2023-3) – Award of Contract

BACKGROUND
Specification No. TM-2023-3, Camarillo Video Detection Project will provide vehicle detection system upgrades at two (2) signalized intersections in the City (Ventura Boulevard/Las Posas Road and Central Avenue/Del Norte Road). The detection systems being replaced are older technology and lack the flexibility to accommodate modified traffic patterns caused by temporary roadway conditions such as those created by construction activity. The newer video detection technology is more adjustable and responsive which will enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety.
