NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Camarillo will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Camarillo City Library, Community Room, 4101 Las Posas Road, Camarillo, to consider the following:
Airport North Specific Plan Amendment and Addendum to the 2016 Springville Commercial Final Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (FSEIR)
The City is considering a proposal from Faring Capital, LLC for an Airport North Specific Plan Amendment to add Automobile Dealerships and uses ancillary to dealerships such as cafes, carwashes, and vehicle charging stations to the allowed land uses in the specific plan and revisions to development standards. The Airport North Specific Plan area is approximately 219 acres, located south of U.S. Highway 101/Ventura Freeway, west of Las Posas Road, north of the Camarillo Airport, and extends to the west approximately 1,400 feet west of the Central Avenue interchange.
An Addendum to the 2016 FSEIR 2014-08 (SCH#2010081043) has been prepared to evaluate the potential impacts of the project in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the City’s environmental guidelines.
The Addendum evaluates the potential impacts associated with the revisions to the Specific Plan and the future development of approximately 218,000 square feet (SF) of auto center uses and 600,000 SF of light industrial/warehouse uses on 46.88 acres at the southwest quadrant of U.S. 101 and the Springville Drive interchange.
Any person interested in these matters is invited to present testimony either for or against the above items. If you challenge the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at or prior to the public hearing.
