Item Number or Subject Enhancing Camarillo’s Well-being: A Commitment to Healthier Lives and a Cleaner Environment
Position Support
Comments Dear City Council Members,
I am writing to draw your attention to the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) recent mandate (1), which requires all new off-road engines, including those in lawnmowers and leaf blowers, to be zero-emission by 2024. This progressive regulation is a significant step toward enhancing public health and the overall quality of life for Californians.
The swift advancements in zero-emission technology not only reflect our state’s innovative spirit but also ease the transition for businesses adapting to these cleaner alternatives. However, despite these positive strides, Camarillo continues to face challenges with air and noise pollution that compromise the well-being of our community—particularly our youngest
residents.
As a concerned citizen of Camarillo, I urge the City Council to proactively support this transition at the local level. It is imperative that we expedite the phase-out of polluting
equipment to safeguard the health and tranquility of our neighborhoods. I respectfully request that the Council initiate 1 measures to eliminate the use of these detrimental machines within our city boundaries promptly.
Your commitment to this cause will not only reflect the will of Camarillo’s residents but also serve as a testament to our shared dedication to a cleaner, healthier future.
Thank you for your consideration and for your service to our community.
Warm regards,
Michael McClarin

Item Number or Subject Mobile home land rent
Position Not Applicable
Comments I would like to know what this council is doing! It seems the rent of senior mobile home parks is out of control and this body has not done anything to protect seniors. In addition, allowing a park owner to get away with applying for a small % to offer senior park to families has given them a foot in the door to avoid controlling rents. So I ask you, what is this body doing to protect seniors!!!!!
