Subject: Amendment to City Council Policy 3.17, Surplus Property
BACKGROUND
The City Council’s Surplus Property Policy was adopted in October 2020. The purpose of the policy is to establish guidelines for the transfer or disposition of City owned property that has outlived its initial useful life.
DISCUSSION
On August 26, 2024, the Finance Committee met to review staff recommendations to City Council Policy 3.17, Surplus Property. Staff is recommending clarifying language, formatting changes and one content change to include recycling as a method of disposition (Section A(4)(e)).
Per Finance Committee, staff was directed to submit the proposed amended policy to the City Council for adoption.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt amendment to City Council Policy 3.17, Surplus Property.
