BACKGROUND
Staff provides the Library Board of Trustees monthly updates on activities at the Camarillo Public Library.
DISCUSSION
A Library & RFBC Activity Report from September 2024 is included as Attachment 1, featuring Library Highlights, Professional Development, Literacy/ESL, and updates on the Russell Fischer Business Collection (RFBC) for the month of September.
In support of the City of Camarillo’s Sustainability Master Plan, the Library is offering a Craft Swap for patrons to exchange unused crafting materials on Saturday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m. The Library’s first Craft Swap, hosted in August 2023, saw an enthusiastic turnout of 56 patrons. The Craft Swap offers an opportunity for participants to share their creative supplies and network with like-minded hobbyists. In addition, it provides a zero waste approach for participants to take discarded items and reuse them to make their own beautiful creations.
Additional activities and programs that are planned for November are included in the November Camarillo Library Newsletter, included herein as Attachment 2.
