Subject: Camarillo Area Transit - Resolution Approving Updated Title VI Plan
BACKGROUND
The City of Camarillo (City) is a recipient of federal financial assistance and is required to meet federal regulatory requirements for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The City is required to maintain a plan to ensure that no person is discriminated against in the use of the City’s transit services. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requires the City Council to adopt an updated Title VI Plan every three years. Although the City’s current Camarillo Area Transit Title VI plan was adopted on July 12, 2023, it needs to be updated to align with the most recent Ventura County Transportation Commission Title VI update dated August 2024.
DISCUSSION
The City’s 2024 Title VI Plan (Attachment 1) has been updated as needed to remain in compliance with FTA standards.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a Resolution approving the updated Title VI Plan.
