RESOLUTION NO. 2024-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMARILLO APPROVING AN UPDATED TITLE VI PLAN,
INCLUDING ADOPTION OF CERTAIN ELEMENTS OF THE
VENTURA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
(VCTC) TITLE VI PROGRAM FOR CAMARILLO AREA
TRANSIT
The City Council of the City of Camarillo resolves as follows:
SECTION 1:The City Council of the City of Camarillo finds and declares as follows:
A. The City of Camarillo (City) is a recipient of federal financial assistance and is required to meet federal regulatory requirements for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
B. The City will provide all annual certifications and assurances to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) required by Title VI.
C. The City assures that no person or group of persons will, on the basis of race, color, national origin or limited English proficiency be subjected to discrimination in the level and quality of transportation services, programs, or activities provided by City, whether federally funded or not.
D. The City assures that all residents and visitors are afforded meaningful access to the City’s programs, activities and services.
E. The City has updated the City’s Title VI Plan to meet current FTA guidelines.
F. The City is eligible to adopt certain elements of the updated 2024 VCTC Title VI Program to make the City compliant with Title VI requirements and has incorporated them into the City’s Title VI Program.
SECTION 2:The City Council of the City of Camarillo approves and adopts the updated Title VI Plan, incorporating the following elements of the VCTC Title VI Program: Notice to Beneficiaries, Title VI Complaint Procedures, Language Assistance Plan (Limited English Proficiency Plan), and Public Participation Plan.
