AGENDA REPORT
Date: January 8, 2025
To: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers
From: Greg Ramirez, City Manager
Submitted by: Dave Klotzle, Public Works Director
Subject: IPD-406, Dawson Storage (91 S. Dawson Drive) – Resolution Approving Improvement Plans, Acknowledging Receipt of
Agreements, Securities and Other Necessary Documents and Issuance of a Water Will-Serve Letter

BACKGROUND
On August 16, 2022, the Camarillo Planning Commission approved IPD-406 for the construction of a three-story, 64,743-square-foot self-storage facility, located at 91 S.

Dawson Drive as shown in the attached location map (Attachment 1) and determined the project to be categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA under Class 32, Urban In-fill Development. The project was conditioned to grade the site and construct improvements for which agreements and securities are required.

DISCUSSION
The developer has submitted improvement plans (Attachment 2), agreements, securities, and other necessary documents, and paid required fees for IPD-406 and the attached resolution acknowledges receipt of these documents (Attachment 3). Resolution No. PC 2022-12, with project conditions of approval, is available for review in the office of the City Clerk.

Water Will-Serve Letter
The applicant submitted a Preliminary Water Supply Study which concluded no Water Demand Offset is required as the project is not a significant new development as defined by CMC 14.12. A Will-Serve letter is needed for the new water service connections and to confirm the City will serve water to IPD-406.

FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact as a result of this action.
