Comments Dear Camarillo City Council,
My name is Jasmine Duron, and I am writing on behalf of Autism Society Ventura County and our Advocacy Committee.

Our Advocacy Committee actively monitors city council, school board, and County of Ventura agendas for topics of interest to the disability community, and speaks out accordingly to ensure this often unheard population has a voice.

In reviewing the City Council’s stated goals, we would like to recommend a minor adjustment that aligns with and
strengthens our shared commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment for all, in accordance with point #4:

Original Goal:
"It is the goal of the City Council to provide a safe and enriched environment where people can live, work, and play."
Suggested Revision:
"It is the goal of the City Council to provide a safe, inclusive, and enriched environment where people can live, work, and play." This addition emphasizes inclusion and accessibility as a core value, ensuring that your policies and initiatives actively promote inclusivity and tolerance within our community. It also aligns with the Employee Relations Goal by reinforcing the 1 importance of inclusivity in both community engagement and workplace culture.

Thank you for considering this recommendation. I believe it reflects our shared commitment to creating an environment where all community members feel welcomed and supported.
