Subject: Tree Maintenance Services MC-2021-2 - Second Amendment CC 2021-112B With West Coast Arborists, Inc.
BACKGROUND
Specification No. MC-2021-2 consists of providing professional tree maintenance services in designated areas in the City of Camarillo. Currently, the City of Camarillo has approximately 25,000 trees in its city tree inventory located at various City facilities, parkways, medians, open space and slope areas.
The work includes but is not limited to systematic tree pruning, trimming, watering, tree installations, small tree care, tree and stump removals, arborist services, fertilization, insect control, disease control and palm tree maintenance. The contractor is required to provide and maintain a tree inventory management system including tree locations based on a global positioning system (GPS).
On June 9, 2021, City Council approved Agreement No. 2021-112 (Contract) for a multi- year contract with West Coast Arborists (WCA) for citywide tree maintenance services through June 30, 2024, for a total of $2,174,490.
On June 26, 2024, City Council approved Agreement No. 2021-112A for a one-year extension with WCA for citywide tree maintenance services through June 30, 2025, in the amount of $824,385 for a total of $2,998,875.

These trees will not be replaced as the area is a non-irrigated natural space with a drainage ditch along the road shoulder. The fire-
