An Urgency Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Camarillo, California to Extend a Moratorium on the Issuance of Any New Permit, License, Approval, or Entitlement Pertaining to the Retail Sale of Beer and Wine for Off -site Consumption
POTENTIAL FOR LOCATION CHANGE NOTIFICATION : It is anticipated the Council Chambers construction project will be finished prior to this hearing date. In the event the completion of constructio n is delayed, the hearing will be conducted at the Camarillo library, 4101 Las Posas Rd, Camarillo. The City is considering an extension to Urgency Ordinance No. 2028 (adopted by City Council on January 22, 2025), which had the effect of establishing a 45 -day moratorium on the issuance of any permits or other approvals for any new sales of beer and wine for off-site consumption Citywide. The proposed action will extend that 45 -day moratorium for an additional period of 10 months, 15 days, as permitted by Government Code §65858(b).
City staff determined, in accordance with §15061(b)(3) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, the proposed extension of the Urgency Ordinance is not subject to CEQA review because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possi bility that the proposed extension of a moratorium on the issuance of any permits or other approvals for the sale of beer and wine for off -site consumption city -wide may have a significant effect on the environment, as it establishes administrative procedu res and will not result in any development or changes to the physical environment.
For further information regarding this Ordinance, you may contact the Department of Community Development , Paul McClaren, Senior Planner at 805.388.5365 or via email at [email protected] .
