Subject: Approval of City Clerk Appointment
BACKGROUND
The position of City Clerk became vacant on November 30, 2024. Assistant City Clerk, Carrie Weal, has been acting as City Clerk during this vacancy. With over 20 years in the City Clerk's Office, Carrie Weal brings extensive experience and continuity to the role.
DISCUSSION
Section 2.04.060 of the Camarillo Municipal Code provides that the City Manager shall appoint the City Clerk subject to the approval of the City Council. The City Manager is requesting the City Council’s approval of his appointment of Carrie Weal as City Clerk of the City of Camarillo.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a Resolution Appointing Carrie Weal as City Clerk.
