Subject: Library Activity Updates – Receive and File
BACKGROUND
Staff provides the Library Board of Trustees monthly updates on activities at the Camarillo Public Library.
DISCUSSION
A Library & RFBC Activity Report from April 2025 is included as Attachment 1, featuring Library Highlights, Professional Development, Literacy/ESL and updates on the Russell Fischer Business Collection (RFBC) for the month of April.
Camarillo Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, themed “Summer Reading Adventure,” will kick off with Touch-a-Truck, featuring the City Trolley and Sewer Vacuum Truck from City Facilities. In addition, emergency vehicles from the Fire and Police Departments will be present for participants to view up close. The outdoor event will take place in the Library parking lot on Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Winners of the Summer Reading Program Bookmark Contest will also be announced.
Additional activities and programs that are planned for June are included in the June Camarillo Library Newsletter, included herein as Attachment 2.
