Subject: Appointing Trustees to the Camarillo Library Board
BACKGROUND
On January 1, 2011, the City of Camarillo took over operation and control of the Camarillo Public Library and determined that the persons holding the office of Mayor and members of the City Council should serve as the five trustees of the Board. The Camarillo Municipal Code provides that the Mayor shall appoint trustees with the consent of the City Council.
DISCUSSION
Two Camarillo Library Board Trustee positions expire June 30, 2025. The Trustees are appointed by the Mayor with concurrence of the City Council.
The proposed Resolution reappoints Susan Santangelo and David Tennessen to the Camarillo Library Board for three-year terms, effective July 1, 2025. In the event that either Susan Santangelo and David Tennessen are no longer serving on the City Council, the respective appointment to the Library Board will terminate and a new Trustee will be appointed to complete the unfinished term.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.

RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a Resolution reappointing Susan Santangelo and David Tennessen as Trustees to the Camarillo Library Board for a three-year term effective from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028.
