RESOLUTION NO. 2025-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMARILLO, CALIFORNIA, REAPPOINTING TWO MEMBERS
OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO SERVE AS TRUSTEES OF THE
CAMARILLO LIBRARY BOARD
The City Council of the City of Camarillo resolves as follows:
SECTION 1. Findings. The City Council finds as follows:
A. On January 1, 2011, the City of Camarillo took over operation and control of the Camarillo Public Library.
B. Section 2.48.030 of the Camarillo Municipal Code provides that the Camarillo Public Library will be controlled by the Camarillo Board of Library Trustees (“Board”).
C. Section 2.48.030 further provides that the Board will consist of five trustees to be appointed by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council.
D. The Mayor and City Council desire that the persons holding the office of Mayor and members of the City Council serve as the five trustees of the Board.
SECTION 2. Appointment of Trustee to the Board.
A. Susan Santangelo and David Tennessen are reappointed to the Camarillo Library Board for a three-year term, effective from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028.
B. In the event that either Susan Santangelo and David Tennessen are no longer serving on the City Council, the respective appointment to the Library Board will terminate and a new Trustee will be appointed to complete the unfinished term.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This resolution takes effect immediately.
SECTION 4. Certification. The City Clerk is directed to certify the passage of this resolution.
