RESOLUTION NO. 2025-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMARILLO ADOPTING THE 2025 ANNUAL REVIEW AND
UPDATE TO THE CAMARILLO AREA TRANSIT AGENCY
SAFETY PLAN
The City Council of the City of Camarillo resolves as follows:
SECTION 1:The City Council of the City of Camarillo finds and declares as follows:
A. The City of Camarillo (City)/Camarillo Area Transit is committed to safety as a core value of the agency.
B. Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Subtitle B, Chapter VI, Part 673, Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) requires that an agency PTASP be approved and certified by its governing board.
C. Title 49, CFR, Subtitle B, Chapter VI, Part 674, State Agency Oversight, requires the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), which is the State Transit Safety Oversight Agency, ensure the transit agency has a PTASP compliant with 49 CFR Part 673 adopted by the governing board;
D. City Council adopted Resolution No. 2020-140 at their regular meeting of November 4, 2020, approving the local PTASP for purposes of compliance with the above stated regulations.
E. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requires annual review of the PTASP and adoption of a new resolution.
Section 2: The City of Camarillo Council hereby finds that the PTASP has been reviewed and is in compliance with 49 CFR Parts 673 and 674 and hereby approves and adopts the Camarillo Area Transit Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan annual review as set forth in full in Exhibit A to this Resolution.
Section 3: The City Council of the City of Camarillo approves and adopts this resolution and shall cause a certified resolution to be filed in the book of original resolutions.
