Comments This is my 2nd public comment on this matter. I submitted one last month. I have shared my concerns that as a City, you cannot allow ICE agents to behave in the manner they behave and in the manner they conduct themselves. It is putting this community at risk by their behavior of reckless driving, speeding, disobeying traffic laws without any reason to do so other than to create a dangerous environment for those working and living in this community. I work on Camarillo Springs Road and I see them speeding on Santa Rosa Road to the highway and creating a major traffic distraction and this endangers all of us heading to work or leaving home. With kids starting school at CAM HIGH, it's places our kids at risk of serious injury or worse, a casualty if they get hit by these ICE agents. Please do not allow that to happen! STOP ICE!
Please add this to next month's agenda so that the Council as a whole can engage in a full discussion of options the City has.
Further, agree to host a "Know your Rights" workshop that the community can attend to learn what we can do to keep this community safe from ICE agents.
