Subject: 2025 City Council and Board Meeting Schedule Amendment – October
BACKGROUND
Each year the City Council adopts a meeting schedule approving regularly scheduled meetings. This annual calendar promotes public participation by providing a consistent and predictable schedule, enabling full compliance with the Brown Act’s public noticing requirements and reinforcing transparency in city governance.
Occasionally, adjustments to the calendar are necessary to accommodate events that directly support the City’s commitment to effective leadership and informed decision- making. One such event is the League of California Cities Annual Conference.
DISCUSSION
The League’s Annual Conference is a key event for city leaders throughout California, featuring expert-led workshops, best practice exchanges, and strategic discussions on pressing municipal issues.
This year, the conference dates conflict with the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. To support full participation in this important event, it is proposed that the City Council meeting be rescheduled to Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the amended 2025 City Council and Board regular meeting schedule.
