Comments Hello, I am a Camarillo resident and just wanted you to know that I fully support both agenda items C & P and hope that you vote in support of both issues. Our community is comprised of many people from a many different places, and our immigrant population is as much a part of the fabric of our city as anyone else. I fully support providing funds to support them and the local businesses that have been impacted by the action of ICE in our city. Please let your vote be guided by both compassion and support for our Constitution. Regarding item C, as far as I'm concerned anyone or any organization fighting against the actions of the current administration and it's 'officers' (including the dog-killer Noem) deserves full support as well.

I was born in Camarillo, as was my mom. Her parents settled here after emigrating from Mexico and Spain. They were able to have a nice life here, raise a family, and contribute to society. I believe everyone should have that opportunity, and I am appalled, disgusted and angered by ICE’s presence in our community. I am a teacher at Oxnard High School, and some of my students were personally impacted by the Glass House raid.

I call on you to show the country and world that the City of Camarillo supports its hardworking immigrant population which has contributed to our city’s culture and economy. Please join the ACLU Perdomo v. Noem lawsuit. Please consider
contributing to or establishing a support fund for those impacted by ICE.

Comments I strongly want the board to make a donation to the Ventura County neighbor support fund. It’s been proven that when people have legal representation they are able to return to their home and their lives. I personally have a neighborhood, a US citizen, that was handcuffed by an ICE agent. She came to the United States when she was 20 from Belize. She was lucky that she had her citizenship information in her car and they allowed her to bring it out. She was lucky and released but she is traumatized by the experience.

As a community, we need to be on the right side of history and support our democracy.
