Camarillo City Council
As a long-time resident of the wonderful City of Camarillo. I am submitting this letter, exercising my right to provide public comment.
With regards to recent Council discussions (when there was input from many people who are not actual residents of our city), please review my opinions listed below to consider for the upcoming vote.
I strongly OPPOSE VC Board of Supervisors Agenda Item Number 69; I expect the Camarillo City Council to REMAIN NEUTRAL or to support Federal law enforcement operations, as they are in place to provide for the safety of the residents of the United States;
I OPPOSE public funds (my money that I paid in taxes) being given to NGOs and Special Interest Groups;
I OPPOSE the City of Camarillo joining the ACLU lawsuit; I SUPPORT Sheriff Jim Fryhoff and Commander Eric Tennessen as well as the brave deputies of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
I am a member of a local, Camarillo club with approximately 200 members who have like-minded beliefs and support our law enforcement as well as Federal endeavors to make our country safe and affordable.
I do not wish to comment in person or provide my full name because the “Mob” has physically attacked and verbally harassed those who dissent or differ from their “Mob” opinion. Please do NOT reward Mob Rule.
Please consider the above opinions and do not rely only on many visitors to the Council meetings who are paid by or members of activist groups and not necessarily residents of our city.
Please use common sense in voting and do not become a puppet for the progressive left by voting for their wishes that do not use our tax dollars wisely and/or do not support our current laws.

As a 30 year resident of the wonderful City of Camarillo. I am submitting this letter, exercising my right to provide public comment.
I understand there is pressure on the City Council to pass a resolution and take actions consistent with the Ventura County Supervisors regarding immigration (item 69 of their August 12 meeting).
I oppose the actions of the Supervisors, and ask that you on the Camarillo City Council reject this approach. As you consider the issue, please note that many of those who support this will be outsiders, not residents of Camarillo. I strongly OPPOSE VC Board of Supervisors Agenda Item Number 69 (Agenda Item 43 for their August 26 meeting);
I expect the Camarillo City Council to REMAIN NEUTRAL or to support Federal law enforcement operations, as they are in place to provide for the safety of the residents of the United States;

I recommend that you take input only from residence of
Camarillo. As the decisions you make will only affect the residence. Anyone else is simply voicing an opinion and trying to sway your vote. It won't affect them, but it will affect the residence of Camarillo. Please review my opinions and
remember that you were elected not as a political body. I recommend that you only support enforcing the laws which are currently on the books. Like them or not.

Comments Dear Mayor and Councilmembers,
I urge you to support two critical measures:
Entering into a Common Interest Agreement with the ACLU lawsuit.
Providing funding for legal immigration services and immigrant- serving organizations.
Camarillo is home to over 70,000 residents, and Ventura County overall is more than 44% Latino, with nearly 1 in 5 residents foreign-born. These are not abstract numbers—they are our workers, families, and neighbors who make up the fabric of our community.
When residents live in fear of family separation or lack access to reliable legal help, they are less likely to call 911, report 1 crimes, or show up in court. That makes everyone less safe.
Public safety depends on trust, and ensuring immigrants have legal support strengthens that trust.
Supporting these measures is also fiscally responsible.
Preventing wrongful detention and deportation saves taxpayer dollars by reducing reliance on emergency services, limiting costly litigation, and avoiding economic disruption when breadwinners are taken from their families. Investing in community-based legal services is far less expensive than dealing with the fallout of unsafe, destabilized neighborhoods.
Camarillo prides itself on being safe, family-oriented, and community-driven. Standing with immigrant residents through legal support and a strong common interest agreement is not only a moral responsibility, it is a smart investment in the stability and safety of our city.
I strongly urge you to take leadership by supporting these two actions.
