BACKGROUND
Staff provides the Library Board of Trustees monthly updates on activities at the Camarillo Public Library.
DISCUSSION
A Library & RFBC Activity Report of September 2025 is included as Attachment 1, featuring Library Highlights, Professional Development, Literacy/ESL, and updates on the Russell Fischer Business Collection (RFBC).
National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 through October 15 and recognizes the contributions and influence of Hispanic culture. The Library is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a traditional folklórico performance on October 4 at 11 a.m. in the Community Room. In addition, children can participate in weekly craft that includes activities such as a papel picado, sugar skull, paper marigolds and an ofrenda frame. These activities play a role in supporting the City of Camarillo’s Strategic Plan by providing opportunities to foster an inclusive and accessible environment for all.
Additional activities and programs that are planned for November are included in the November Camarillo Library Newsletter, included herein as Attachment 2.

There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
