BACKGROUND

DISCUSSION
Russell Fischer Business Collection is leading its third annual business education series titled “Jr. Entrepreneur” for students ages 9 – 17. The series will cover topics such as business fundamentals, marketing, customer service and money management. The goal of this program is to educate students about workforce development and entrepreneurship, helping them build business skills to envision and create a better Camarillo. Maegan Profeta, the Library’s Business Services Coordinator, has developed this program through workshops in the Library and at the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo.

The program culminates in the Jr. Entrepreneur Marketplace, where students will have the chance to gain real-world experience by selling their products to the public and earning money. The Jr. Entrepreneur Marketplace will take place on Saturday, December 13 in Santa’s Village at Community Center Park in Camarillo from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Details on additional programs and events planned for December will be included in the December Camarillo Library newsletter, sent separately.
