Subject: IPD-390M(2), Trojan Storage (5231 Camino Carillo) – Resolution Accepting Public Improvements and Exonerating Grading Security and Performance Security as Warranty Security
BACKGROUND
IPD-390M(2) is a modification of a previously approved industrial planned development for a self-storage facility located at the northeast corner of Camino Ruiz and Camino Carillo. On September 29, 2021, the City Council of the City of Camarillo approved the improvement plans, acknowledged receipt of agreements and securities, and authorized staff to process all documents. The project location is shown on the attached map (Attachment 1).
DISCUSSION
Public Works requested a warranty security from Trojan Storage on October 2, 2024. At the request of the developer, performance securities have remained posted in lieu of a warranty security for the required one-year warranty period. The public improvements have been completed for this warranty period to the satisfaction of the City Engineer and Harco National Insurance Company Faithful Performance/Labor and Materials Bond No. 0795621 in the amount of $7,805 for streets, removals, and drainage; and Harco National Insurance Company Faithful Performance/Labor and Materials Bond No. 0795622 in the amount of $15,420 for grading, may be exonerated.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a Resolution accepting public improvements and exonerating grading security and performance security as warranty security for IPD-390M(2).
