Subject: 2026 City Council and Board Regular Meeting Schedule
BACKGROUND
Each year, the City Council adopts a meeting schedule establishing its regularly scheduled meetings for the upcoming calendar year. Providing an annual meeting calendar supports public participation by offering a consistent and predictable schedule that allows community members to plan ahead and engage in City Council proceedings.
A clearly established schedule also supports timely compliance with Brown Act noticing requirements and furthers the City’s commitment to transparency in local government.
DISCUSSION
The proposed meeting schedule maintains the City Council’s regular meeting dates on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, with the following exceptions to accommodate holidays and customary dark periods:
July 22, 2026 Cancel (Dark)
November 11, 2026 (Veterans Day)
Move to Tuesday, November 10, 2026
November 25, 2026 Cancel (Holiday week)
December 23, 2026 Cancel (Holiday week)
All City Council meetings are open to the public and include opportunities for public comment. Meetings will continue to be streamed live on the City’s YouTube channel and broadcast on the City’s government access channels. As new state requirements related to public participation take effect, the City’s meeting webpage will be updated to provide clear instructions for attending and participating in City Council meetings.

Approve the 2026 City Council and Board Regular Meeting Schedule.
