Subject: Road Rehabilitation Project CRASL-5393 (040) (Project No. ST- 5123) – Adopt a Resolution Exonerating Warranty Securities
BACKGROUND
On September 11, 2024, the City Council accepted the public improvements and warranty securities for Road Rehabilitation Project CRASL-5393 (040) - Project No. ST-5123 (Project). Work performed by Toro Enterprises, Inc., consisted of street rehabilitation including curb and gutter repairs, pavement repairs, slurry seal and thermoplastic striping on major roadways including Santa Rosa Road, Daily Drive, and Ponderosa Drive, as shown on the Location Map (Attachment 1).
On November 8, 2023, the City Council adopted a resolution finding the Project exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guideline 15301 Class 1 when City Council authorized staff to solicit bids for Project construction.
Warranty work was required on Ponderosa Drive, Daily Drive and Santa Rosa Road. The warranty work consisted of removing and replacing failing thermoplastic striping at select locations. The warranty work was completed and accepted on October 30, 2025.
DISCUSSION
Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America Performance/Payment Bonds No. 107952506 in the amount of $2,265,115 with increase rider, rider increases the bonds amount from $2,265,115 to $2,578,826.80, have been held for the required maintenance period and may be exonerated.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
