Subject: Oxnard PD and Simi Valley PD report unauthorized nationwide access of Flock ALPR cameras

Good evening Camarillo City Councilmembers

I wanted to inform you that Simi Valley and Oxnard Police Departments have reported that their 2025 audits reveal that there was unauthorized nationwide database search access to their ALPR data. This is very concerning to hear and I am concerned that Ventura County Sheriffs Office/Camarillo PD experienced a similar breach. Are there plans for Camarillo PD to conduct a similar audit of access to their flock data?

Oxnard PD has ended their partnership with Flock, are there any discussions about Camarillo PD following suit and ending their partnership with flock?
