Position Not Applicable
Comments Mayor Tennessen, Vice-Mayor Dr. Martinez-Bravo, Councilmember Trembley, Councilmember Santangelo,
Councilmember Kildee,
Hi, I'm Spencer Richey. I'm your taxpaying constituent.
In that capacity, I demand a few things:
1) I'm really not impressed with your lack of accessibility in accessiing either translations or closed-captioning in any language of the City Council meetings...not only is not everyone, especially not seniors who are more likely to need something 1 like translation or closed-captioning, going to be able to access using a website, but AI often makes mistakes and censors sensitive words.
You need to be using a more trustworthy software or a sharp- eared human and offering this automatically on the screens at the meeting in-person, over the livestreams, and over the local television broadcasts, even in the form of multiple simulteanous broadcasts if needed.
2) Beef up your public transit so I can always get a bus home from my job that ends its day at 4:45.
3) Get the Flock cameras out of our city and stop letting the VCSO work with ICE without even so much as a scolding from you.
Sincerely,
Spencer Richey
Highly Concerned Lifelong Camarillan
