Dear Camarillo City Council,

Thank you for the time and effort you have dedicated to this ordinance.

As a Camarillo homeowner, I have invested years of sacrifice and savings into my home. I am writing to ask you to vote in favor of the mobile home park rent stabilization ordinance, specifically with vacancy control included.

During the March 25 meeting, vacancy control was discussed, and I want to emphasize that it is a critical component of the ordinance. Without vacancy control, rents can increase significantly upon a sale, causing potential buyers to lower their offers. This directly results in a loss of equity for homeowners who have diligently maintained their investments.

Homeownership should provide stability and allow residents to build value over time.

Removing or weakening vacancy control undermines these essential protections.

Please support the ordinance with vacancy control intact. Thank you for your continued service to the Camarillo community.

Sincerely,

Lyman Young
