DISCUSSION
A Library & RFBC Activity Report for March is included as Attachment 1, featuring Library Highlights, Professional Development, Literacy/ESL and updates on the Russell Fischer Business Collection (RFBC).
Since July 2023, Camarillo Public Library has been an active participant in the Career Online High School program offered by the California State Library. Career Online High School enables California adults to earn a high school diploma, free of charge, through our Adult Literacy Center. The library has 13 active students and we are proud to announce five new graduates of the program, who have received career certificates in the fields of office management, manufacturing, commercial driving and general career preparedness.
The Library’s Adult Literacy Center continues to enroll new students in Career Online High School. On average, students who participate in the program take 11 months to receive their diploma.
Additional activities and programs planned for May are listed in the May Camarillo Library Newsletter, included herein as Attachment 2.
