Subject: Biosolids Belt Filter Press and Conveyor Installation (Project No.
MC-2022-1) – Adopt a Resolution Exonerating Warranty Securities
BACKGROUND
On March 12, 2025, the Board of Directors accepted the public improvements and warranty securities for the Biosolids Belt Filter Press and Conveyor Installation - Project No. MC-2022-1 (Project). Work performed by GSE Construction Company, Inc., constructed concrete supports, a shade structure, access improvements, and mechanical and electrical connections needed to install and connect a previously purchased belt filter press and conveyor system at the Water Reclamation Plant.
On June 22, 2022, the Board of Directors adopted a resolution finding the Project exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guideline 15301 Class 1(b).
DISCUSSION
Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland Performance/Payment Bonds No. 9419837 in the amount of $702,000 with increase rider, rider increases the bonds amount from $702,000 to $805,279.54, have been held for the required maintenance period and may be exonerated.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a CSD Resolution exonerating warranty securities for Biosolids Belt Filter Press and Conveyor Installation - Project No. MC-2022-1 with GSE Construction Company, Inc.
