Thanks for all the work you’ve been doing on this issue.
I’m writing as a Camarillo homeowner to ask you to vote yes on the mobile home park rent stabilization ordinance with vacancy control. I really appreciate that the Council has been taking this seriously.
I feel vacancy control is one of the most important parts of the whole discussion. If that protection is left out, the ordinance won’t do enough to protect homeowners’ equity. Buyers look at future rent costs, and when those costs are too high, they offer less for the home. Your city staff have shown this is already happening.
It's hurting the people who already live here and have invested so much in their homes. Vacancy control helps keep sale prices from falling further behind the rest of Ventura County.
Please keep it in the ordinance and vote yes.
