Comments Hello, my name is Tiana, and I go to Rancho Campana High School. I started getting involved with CFROG, and I've been doing everything I could since I've worked with them to get our Oil and Gas phase-out resolution passed. However, I feel like, as a student, my voice is not being heard despite everything I've been doing to make a difference. Last year, during school, it was a normal finals day until I stepped outside, and there was a large mountain fire encroaching upon the mountain right behind my school. About a month later, my school and town were facing ashes falling from the sky like our own snow. Instead of being able to come together to help fight this injustice, our families had to bear the financial burden of helping to repair the town instead of the people who were really responsible for this, the oil industry. If you were to support our Oil and Gas phase- out resolution, students like me wouldn't have to live in fear of the fall and fire season because the culprits who contribute the most to our global warming, causing a spike in fire, would be 1 the ones to bear the brunt of the cost, as they should be. Please give a voice to the students and citizens of Camarillo by supporting our Oil and Gas phase-out resolution; it would mean so much to me and inspire me not to lose hope and faith in being heard. Thank you so much.

Kindest regards,
Tiana Jawork
