Subject: Professional Tree Maintenance Services MC-2026-1 – Award of Maintenance Contract No. 2026-40 to SGD Enterprises dba Four Seasons Landscaping
BACKGROUND
Specification No. MC-2026-1 consists of providing professional tree maintenance services in designated areas in the City of Camarillo. Currently, the City has approximately 25,000 trees in its city tree inventory, located at various City facilities, parkways, medians, open spaces and slope areas.
To maintain the tree inventory, the City contracts tree trimming and care services.
Regularly scheduled tree trimming and care is required to keep the urban forest intact and healthy.
The work includes, but is not limited to systematic tree pruning, trimming, watering, tree installations, small tree care, tree and stump removals, arborist services, fertilization, insect control, disease control and palm tree maintenance. The Contractor is required to provide and maintain a tree inventory management system including tree locations based on a global positioning system (GPS). The Contractor’s tree inventory management system must be able to integrate with the City’s new asset management system, NEXGEN, within 90 days of the City’s implementation of the system, which is expected to occur in April 2027.
