Submitted by: Mitchell Cameron, Director of Administrative Services/Chief Innovation Officer
Subject: Award CC Agreement 2026-44, Corporation Yard Remodel Phase 1 – Purchase and Install Office Furniture in Building A (Project No.

CY-5163.1)

BACKGROUND
The Administrative Office Building (Building A) at the Corporation Yard is currently undergoing renovation as part of the Corporation Yard Remodel Phase 1 project. The scope of work includes demolition and reconfiguration of the existing breakroom and office layout to improve operational functionality, optimize workspace efficiency, and enhance ADA accessibility. Additional building improvements include upgraded lighting, electrical systems, HVAC, flooring, paint, and interior finishes.

Construction is anticipated to be substantially completed in late summer 2026, at which time City staff will begin occupying the facility. To support occupancy and daily operations, the project also includes the procurement and installation of new office furniture, as well as breakroom tables and seating.

DISCUSSION
On April 18, 2026, staff advertised a Notice Inviting Bids for Specification No. CY- 5163.1 in the Camarillo Acorn and on the City’s PlanetBids portal.

On May 12, 2026, one bid was received via PlanetBids, summarized below:

Name of Bidder $ Amount of Bid
BKM Office Environments, Inc. $ 122,434.46
Staff reviewed the bid for responsiveness and verified that BKM Office Environments, Inc., the apparent low bidder, meets the minimum qualification and licensing requirements specified in the bid documents.
