Subject: Library Activity Updates – Receive and File
BACKGROUND
Staff provides the Library Board of Trustees monthly updates on activities at the Camarillo Public Library.
DISCUSSION
A Library & RFBC Activity Report for April is included as Attachment 1, featuring Library Highlights, Professional Development, Literacy/ESL and updates on the Russell Fischer Business Collection (RFBC).
Camarillo Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, themed “Summer Reading Adventure,” will kick off with a Family Renaissance Fair, which will feature brave knights, talented musicians and sword fighting demonstrations. The outdoor event will take place in the Library back lawn on Sunday, June 14 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Winners of the Summer Reading Program Bookmark Contest will also be announced.
Additional activities and programs planned for June are listed in the June Camarillo Library Newsletter, included herein as Attachment 2.

There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
