Subject: Fiscal Year 2026/27 Proposed Budget Review
BACKGROUND
Staff will present an overview of the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026/27. Direction to staff may be given during this budget review; however, any action to implement such direction will be made when the budget is presented to the City Council for approval on June 24, 2026.
DISCUSSION
The Fiscal Year 2026/27 proposed budget for the City’s General Fund is operationally balanced, meaning operating revenues are sufficient to fund ongoing operating expenditures.
The purpose of the proposed budget review workshop will be to provide an overview of the City’s and Camarillo Sanitary District’s revenue and expenditure trends/forecasts as well as some of the newly proposed programs for next fiscal year. This meeting will help staff finalize the proposed budget to be presented to the City Council on June 24, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Review and discuss the proposed budget and provide any feedback or direction to staff for consideration.
