Subject: Lewis Road to Flynn Road Sewer (Project No. SS-14-01) – Adopt a Resolution Exonerating Warranty Securities
BACKGROUND
On June 11, 2025, the Board of Directors accepted the public improvements and warranty securities for the Lewis Road to Flynn Road Sewer - Project No. SS-14-01 (Project). Work performed by Toro Enterprises, Inc., constructed a new sewer pipeline on Vista Mercado.
The existing pipeline on Adolfo Road which carries sewer flows from Caltrans State Route 34(Lewis Road) to Flynn Road, including a segment under Union Pacific Railroad, was deficient. The Project installed a sewer pipeline in a parallel alignment south of Adolfo Road as shown in the attached Location Map (Attachment 1).
On August 28, 2024, the Board of Directors adopted a resolution finding the Project exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guideline Sections 15302 and 15304.
DISCUSSION
Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America Performance/Payment Bonds No. 108141781 in the amount of $1,861,703 have been held for the required maintenance period and may be exonerated.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a CSD Resolution exonerating warranty securities for Lewis Road to Flynn Road Sewer - Project No. SS-14-01 with Toro Enterprises, Inc.
