To: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers
From: Greg Ramirez, City Manager
Submitted by: Mitchell Cameron, Director of Administrative Services/Chief Innovation Officer
Subject: Authorize Amendment No. 2022-44B with Convergint Technologies LLC for Annual Security Camera Preventive
Maintenance Services
BACKGROUND
On May 25, 2022, the City Council approved Agreement No. 2022-44 with Convergint Technologies LLC (Convergint) for the installation of surveillance equipment at City Hall, Constitution Park, the Corporation Yard, the Camarillo Public Library, and the Camarillo Ranch House and Barn in the amount of $380,447, plus a 15% contingency of $57,068, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $437,515. The agreement also included two years of preventative maintenance following installation, originally anticipated to occur during FY 2023/24 through FY 2024/25.
On August 25, 2022, the City Manager approved Change Order No. 1 which used the contingency of $57,068 to add equipment and installation services to the original scope of work.
On July 1, 2025, the City Manager approved Amendment No. 2022-44A to revise the preventative maintenance term to FY 2024/25 through FY 2025/26 because installation was completed later than originally anticipated. This amendment was administrative only and did not increase the contract amount.
DISCUSSION
Convergint has completed installation of the City’s security camera systems and has provided preventative maintenance services to the City’s satisfaction. Preventative maintenance includes camera cleaning, inspection of associated equipment, software and firmware updates, system testing, and related maintenance necessary to keep the systems operating as intended.

Regular preventive maintenance supports system reliability, image quality, cybersecurity, and the useful life of the City’s security camera infrastructure. It also reduces the risk of equipment failure, service interruptions, and unplanned repair costs.
Dizdar Park opened in March 2026. Security cameras were installed at the park as part of that project and are not included in the preventive maintenance scope under Agreement No. 2022-44. The proposed amendment will add Dizdar Park to the maintenance program beginning in FY 2026/27.
Staff recommends extending Convergint’s preventive maintenance services for five additional years, through FY 2030/31, for the security camera systems at City Hall, Constitution Park, the Corporation Yard, the Camarillo Public Library, the Camarillo Ranch House and Barn, and Dizdar Park, as summarized below:
