Comments Hello, this is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to make a comment on anything but seeing how many of these cameras are going up and how fast is very concerning. As person of color, I have always expected a level of intrusion on my privacy when I move in public spaces, but knowing ICE has access to these advanced cameras makes me feel even more unsafe and anxious than their roving patrols. Just the thought of getting in the car or going on a walk my dog becomes a safety risk because these cameras can make me a target at any time for any reason. This in turn makes me fear participating in anything community-based or even just going to the drive thru to get a quick bite. Please, as a Camarillo resident, I urge you to oppose any participation of our city in this administration’s obvious gross overreach and abuse of their power through flock.
