Position Oppose
Comments I oppose flock cameras because 1) there has been incidents of people using flock cameras to spy on children 2) where the cameras are located are predatory 3) there have been incidents of flock cameras falsely accusing people of crimes 4) and the cost to have these cameras could be used for social programs that can reduce crime.
I’d also like to request the council review and provide to the community the data of these cameras. How many arrests have been assisted by flock? Are flock cameras assisting randomly or is there a trend that they are helping? Has there been a decrease in crime since flock cameras been added? Have there been any false arrests made with flock? Is ICE using flock cameras to harass our community?
