Comments It makes me angry that the city has installed Flock license plate readers. This is a violation of our right to privacy. I have a right to go about my life without someone knowing where I go, when I go there, what I do there, and when I leave. Not only do I oppose Flock cameras, I oppose surveillance of any kind.
Considering the authoritarianism, if not fascism, of the Trump administration, and the gestapo called ICE, you should know better! You are enabling fascism. I do not want to live in a police state. I don't give a damn if someone is driving up from LA to steal Nikes from a store at the outlets (a giant waste of space that shouldn't have been built) owned by the Epstein class. You are expected to serve US. Get your priorities straight! The main driver of crime is poverty, and you've done nothing to solve that problem. No minimum wage, no rent control, pathetic public transportation, low-wage jobs that are mostly part-time so employers aren't required to pay for "benefits"- ie., treat

1 people like human beings and provide health insurance, among other necessities. Instead of using public funds to provide good jobs, build transportation, make Camarillo walkable, keep our streets clean, and so on, you shovel it to companies like Flock, or the Sheriff's department. I have a college degree, and I can't find work! How does surveillance improve my life? it doesn't! End the Flock contract, end all surveillance, NOW!
