Comments As a life long resident of Camarillo, I have never felt so unsafe and disrespected by the city. A.I is harmful to our environment, to our safety, it gives the police even more unnecessary power and provides them another tool for exploitation. I understand keeping our streets safe, but this is an invasion of our privacy. I should not fear who or what can be done with the images of me existing within my community. Our residents don't benefit from this, we are not safer, we are more susceptible to gross intrusion of the little privacy we have left. There is so much we can put money towards, our schools, out infrastructure, our unhoused neighbors, there is no sense is wasting our tax dollars on surveillance no one asked for, no wants, or needs.
