Subject: Recoating of Reservoir Nos. 1, 3, and 4 (Project No. WT-10-02) – Adopt a Resolution Exonerating Warranty Securities
BACKGROUND
On January 11, 2012, the City Council accepted the public improvements and warranty securities for Recoating of Reservoir Nos. 1, 3, and 4 - Project No. WT-10-02 (Project).
Work performed by the contractor, Advanced Industrial Services, Inc., consisted of recoating the interior and exterior of Water Reservoir Nos. 1, 3, and 4. An extended warranty was in place for Reservoir 1.
DISCUSSION
First National Insurance Company of America Performance/Payment Bonds No. 6510323 in the amount of $463,319 have been held for the required maintenance period and may be exonerated.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no budget impact as a result of this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a Resolution exonerating warranty securities for Recoating of Reservoir Nos. 1, 3, and 4 - Project No. WT-10-02 with Advanced Industrial Services, Inc.
