As frustratingly always, what a disappointment literally all of you are for refusing to do anything about all our city's ALPR cameras including our Flock ones that we KNOW have been used by federal law enforcement like ICE to target Camarillans or even so much as tell VCSO not to hassle people who are literally just trying to record ICE in the wild as is their constitutional right and duty (by the way, it'll be downright hilarious when people start succeeding in recording ICE here

And it's especially disappointing on all of your parts that apparently, at least for now, Camarillo's going to be personally footing 40% of the bill, literally something to the tune of $5 million dollars over the next 8 years, for the VCSO's new shiny Axon drones THAT WILL BE LITERALLY RECORDING AND
TRANSCRIBING EVERYTHING THEY HEAR IN EMERGENCY
CALLS WITH AI because it was literally only Camarillo and Thousand Oaks who outright said they wanted the VCSO to have Axon drones.
If it's literally just us and TO whose leadership even wants these new Axon drones watching us at all hours, don't you think that MIGHT raise a few eyebrows about how wise or desired a
decision it is for our city's leadership to ask for them? Also, how do these Axon drones make us, Camarillo, better- equipped to deal with whatever horrors the current
administration's both itching to and quite frankly scarily capable of inflict on us around and after these upcoming midterms? Nowhere in California's going to be safe from that due to how our state went for Harris in 2024, and Camarillo itself also went for Harris in 2024 as just an individual city so no, there's literally nothing there that's actually going to automatically save us from the adminsitration's war on midterm voters no matter how south things go.
To say nothing about how Camarillo's crime rate has literally NEVER made it look like we need all this surveillance, and in fact I'm downright steamed we're blowing our city's taxpayer dollars on this instead of, oh I don't know, expanding the day & time coverage of our cooling centers to make it more doable for Camarillans to make it through these worsening and worsening downright dangerous heat events that have only become the issue they've now become this century.
If absolutely nothing else at all, at least as of right now (nearly 3 PM PT on Wedneaday, September 9, 2026) you are all making yourselves the easiest people to beat in an election ever.
Seriously. I'll bet Hitler or Stalin himself would dust all your rear ends in an election right now if he could make himself genuinely openly oppose all our mass surveillance technology, THAT's how immensely unpopular both it and all of YOU are right now.
