Please include in desk items for tonight.
I will be speaking on this item tonight.
I suggest that Terryy HInes, D1 should be vice mayor.
Reasoning
current mayor rotation
2026 Mayor - D3Vice M - D4
2027 Mayor - D4Vice M - D5
2028 Mayor - D5 Vice M - D1 - up for re-election
2029 Mayor - D1 Vice M - D2
2030 Mayor - D2Vice M - D3
since D3, D4 & D5 are up for election, next year the mayor rotation could fall on a newbie.
D4 - if new person elected, they could be mayor without any council experence. there is a language in the rotation schedule about swittching rotation. D5 would have same issiue Makes sense to have D1 be vice mayor now and then see what happens with the D4 election.
If D4 new person, then the rotation should move up D1 to be mayor for 2027, then D4 2028 & & D5 2029.
thank you for your consideration
