City Attorney Cindie McMahon read the City Council into Closed Session.
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 4 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING SIGNIFICANT EXPOSURE TO LITIGATION: That the City Council, by motion, authorize a closed session to discuss significant exposure to litigation based on existing facts and circumstances regarding one potential case against the City of Carlsbad, pursuant to Government Code section 54956.9(d)(2}.
Council Action: No reportable action.
2. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING EXISTING LITIGATION: That the City Council, by motion, authorize a closed session regarding existing litigation in the matter of:
Travelers Casualty Insurance Company v. City of Carlsbad, Case No. 37-2021-00017609-CU-PO- NC, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9 (d)(l).
