RESOLUTION NO. 2023-276
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO THE HOUSING COMMISSION -
RENTAL ASSISTANCE -GENERAL
WHEREAS, Commissioner Marissa Cortes-Torres was appointed to the Housing Commission in August 2019; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Cortes-Torres then served a four-year term ending in July 2023; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to modify the term date of this vacancy from July 2027 to July 2025 so that no more than three vacancies occur at one time to help retain institutional knowledge and continuity on the commission; and
WHEREAS, a scheduled vacancy on the Housing Commission exists with a term ending in July 2025.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following Carlsbad resident is appointed to serve on the Housing Commission, for a term ending in July 2025, or until a replacement is appointed.
